1. Aktualisierung des eDemocracy wikis der OCG
Der von der WU Wien betreute eDemocracy/eVoting wiki der OCG ist eine der am meisten benutzten Informationsquellen zum Thema in Österreich mit über 400.000 Besuchern im Jahr 2009.
Aufgabe der Diplomarbeit ist es, diesen, nun schon etwas unaktuell gewordenen wiki, in technischer wie auch Projektsicht zu aktualisieren. Dazu zählen beispielsweise
- Aktualisierung um aktuelle Projekte in der Schweiz, Estland, Frankreich, USA, aber auch von Projekten wie unsereuni.at oder das Partizipationssystem des deutschen Bundestages
- eine Aktualisierung der technischen Grundlagen um relevante neue Entwicklungen in der Literatur
- eine umfassende Dokumentation des ÖH-Wahl-e-Votingprojektes 2009
- die European Citizens' Initiative gem. Vertrag von Lissabon

Das Management grenzüberschreitender Supply Chains hat in Zeiten der Verlagerung von Produktionsstandorten nach Osteuropa stark an Bedeutung gewonnen. Meist stehen den günstigen Lohnkosten hohe Logistikkosten bzw. auch höheren Risiken gegenüber. Die integrative Analyse und Bewertung solcher Supply Chains ist daher sowohl in der Planung als auch in der laufenden Steuerung dieser Prozesse enorm wichtig. Die am Institut für Produktionsmanagment verfasste Diplomarbeit von Matthias Hackl, welche kürzlich im VDM-Verlag erschienen ist, zeigt exemplarisch die Analyse eines Supply Chain Prozesses mittels diskreter ereignisorientierter Simulation. Konkret werden verschiedene Prozessalternativen für die Belieferung eines Getriebewerks in Ungarn entwickelt und bewertet

The talk will be given by Robert Rooderkerk, Assistant Professor of Marketing at CentER, Tilburg University. In my work, I integrate techniques and insights from consumer behavior, marketing, statistics, and operations research to address problems of central importance to marketing such as the product line and assortment optimization problem. I can roughly divide my research into two streams:
(1) modeling on large scanner data sets to aid retailers with assortment optimization and manufacturers with new product development,

The EurOMA-sponsored THENEXOM network has been approved by the European Comission through its 2003 Socrates community action programme. THENEXOM’s short-term goal is to analyse the present state of Operations and Supply Chain Management in European universities and to identify strengths and weaknesses in order to instigate the use of better practices.
The first aim of the Thematic Network is to bring together academics in European higher education institutes to identify the European map of OM and SCM university education.
The network will try to find deficiencies and to try to find their causes as well as to find and to promote best practice content, teaching and assessment methods in OM and SCM courses, to enhance and develop a European dimension in the field.

Am 3.11. hielt Prof. Nonaka, der Wissensmanagementpapst, einen vielbeachteten Vortrag an der WU Wien.

Prof. Taudes betreuten Dissertation über "Knowledge-based Approaches to International Marketing and Management
